Sports Instructor Course for Refugees (C-License)
Are you interested in sports and physical activity? Are you a member of a sports club or looking to become one? Do you want to engage in sports with others and learn more about teaching different sports? With us, you have a great opportunity to do just that!
Every year during the summer, we offer a course for individuals with refugee experience to become an instructor. This training is open to all individuals who are sports-oriented and eager to assist others in engaging in sports activities. As an instructor, you become a role model, taking on significant responsibilities and even earning some extra money. Joining a club allows you to enhance your German language skills, make connections, stay fit and gain new experiences.
Over the past three years, the project "SPORTBUNT - Vereine leben Vielfalt!" in collaboration with the Gerhardt-Schlegel Sports School has successfully trained over 250 individuals with refugee experience as instructors with a C-level license in general sports.
Duration and Scope of the Training:
- There is an orientation day.
- In-person lessons spans approximately 5 weeks.
- Sessions are held 5 days a week.
- From Mondays to Fridays.
The training includes:
- 125 teaching units.
- A first aid course.
- 20 hours of observation in a club (internships).
An examination is conducted two weeks after the training.
Requirements for participation are:
- Sufficient knowledge of the German language.
- Availability during the Berlin summer holidays.
Club membership is not required at the beginning of the training. We assist you in finding a suitable club during the course. The course is free of charge and open to all sports disciplines.
Interpretation support and instructional materials are available in Arabic, Farsi, Ukrainian, Russian, English, and French.
Every year, there is a registration phase during which you can enroll in the course. As soon as it begins, we will share the information on our website.
